Five-Step System and Integrated Pest Management Solutions

The Terminix Commercial Five-Step System is a unique approach to cockroach control. Our plan incorporates five steps:

STEP 1

Immediate physical removal of as many cockroaches as possible. This rapidly reduces the current population in your facility, resulting in an immediate and noticeable reduction in activity.

STEP 2

Treatment of voids where cockroaches commonly live. Insiders are installed in wall and cabinet voids, and other places that might need periodic re-treatment. Treatment of such voids is often the key to total elimination of German cockroach infestations.

STEP 3

Application of bait insecticides (1) helps control the cockroaches that escape other control efforts, and (2) helps control new cockroaches as they appear.

STEP 4

Treatment of cracks that are known or suspected harborages. The application of residual dust insecticides into harborages helps to eliminate cockroaches not controlled by the first two steps.

STEP 5

Introduction of an Insect Growth Regulator (IGR) into the environment for long-term control in the event of a re-infestation.
